On 16 November, Eamon Devlin, managing partner of MJ Hudson, will be swapping his bed for a sleeping bag and spending the night on Greenwich Peninsula, raising money for North London Action for the Homeless (NLAH) and Centrepoint.
Eamon has raised over £2,800 so far and is hoping to raise even more. Sleeping out on a bitterly cold and damp November night won’t be an easy task but it will help to give some of society’s most vulnerable people the support they need to rebuild their lives.
If you would like to make a donation to the Firm’s charity, NLAH, you may do so here. Alternatively you can read more about MJ Hudson’s charity initiative, Hudson’s Heroes, here.
About NLAH
NLAH is a small charity that runs a drop-in centre based in Stoke Newington, Hackney for homeless people and those in need. The kitchen opens twice a week and provides a three-course vegetarian meal for all their clients free of charge. They also offer necessary essentials including clothing, sleeping bags and hygiene products. The charity does not receive any government funding and relies wholly on private donations. It prides itself on treating everyone with respect, care and an understanding that time and compassion is just as important as a free meal.
About Centrepoint
Centrepoint provides housing and support for young people in London, Manchester, Yorkshire and the North East and through partnerships all over the UK. They support 9,200 young people every year by giving 16-25 year olds into a safe place to live, giving them a health assessment and planning support for their individual mental and physical health needs. The charity starts young homeless people on the path to greater independence.
