Background

In order to help raise capital, and to accelerate the fundraising process, for its Endless V fund, Endless LLP instructed the MJ Hudson team to conduct an independent referencing project. Endless also required both physical and digital fundraising materials for its Enact II fund.

Our approach

The IR & Marketing Solutions team conducted interviews with a selection of Endless LLP’s contacts, made up of senior members at portfolio companies, advisers, and intermediaries, from previous Endless funds, to act as references for the firm. MJ Hudson acted as a third-party in order to obtain unbiased feedback, all of which was transcribed into a reference report, that remained confidential from Endless, and hosted on MJ Hudson’s private cloud.

Over a 12-week fundraising process, upon request from the Endless LLP team, MJ Hudson provided secure access to prospective investors to read the report when performing due diligence checks.

MJ Hudson also worked with Endless on preparing materials for its Enact II fund. The IR & Marketing Solutions team produced the commercial sections of the Enact II PPM, working alongside MJ Hudson Law who produced the legal sections. Upon completion, the entire document was designed in-house, adding visually compelling imagery throughout, and professionally printed into sophisticated brochure-style booklets.

MJ Hudson developed Endless’ online portal for its Enact funds, providing investors with a secure, user friendly and compliant access to protected content, such as an investor’s accounts, portfolio and fund information, fund documentation and reporting. Compliance was a key component for Endless, with MJ Hudson able to draw on the expertise of its own Compliance and Regulatory team, to provide a high-quality portal from a design, regulatory and usability perspective.

Results

The MJ Hudson team conducted a thorough, independent referencing exercise which enabled investors to accelerate due diligence, prevented the process becoming a distraction for portfolio companies, and it also removed a significant administrative burden from the Endless team.
