Meet Adrian

Adrian Brown brings over 30 years’ professional experience in the industry, combining recent investment management and advisory experience with earlier consulting and corporate transaction experience.

He is a Senior Advisor at MJ Hudson, is currently the Independent Advisor to the Dyfed Pension Fund and acts as alternate advisor for a number of LGPS funds (Surrey, Bromley and Hounslow). He is also a Trustee Director of the Boots Pension Fund and is Chairman of a Blackrock Investment Trust.

Experience

Adrian joined MJ Hudson in 2019, following 13 years as a Client Portfolio Manager/Managing Director on global equity and multi-asset portfolios (at AllianceBernstein and, most recently, JPMorgan), advising institutional clients on their investments. He has worked with over 20 UK LGPS schemes over this time, as well as large corporate pension schemes, providing both ongoing investment advice and trustee training, as required. He has worked with DC schemes as well as traditional DB clients, and has worked with pensions clients through valuations, pooling and corporate transactions.

Prior to this, he set up his own consultancy business, focussed on Board-level acquisition integration and strategic cost management (for clients including Hutchison Whampoa and Boots PLC); held senior strategy and corporate finance roles in Boots and Pearson; and he trained in Morgan Grenfell, both in asset management and corporate finance.

Qualifications
