Basil is a Consultant in the ESG & sustainability team. He helps a range of clients to improve the ESG performance of the assets they manage, and provides support in determining a strategic direction when considering the topic of sustainability.
Experience
Basil holds a master’s degree in Theoretical Physics. During his studies, he researched mathematical dualities used in string theory and used this in relativistic magnetohydrodynamics. He also taught high school classes maths crash courses (and spent time in Myanmar to also teach maths to Buddhist novices).

- BSc in Liberal Arts and Sciences, Amsterdam University College
- MSc in Theoretical Physics, University of Amsterdam and VU Amsterdam
Recent client work
- supported PE firms in strengthening their ESG profile while creating enterprise value, by engaging with the leadership of the portfolio companies
- helped a private family office outline a responsible investment strategy and conduct a baseline ESG assessment of its entire portfolio by assessing; rating investments in a range of different asset classes on their sustainability impact and performance
