Karen Shackleton

Karen is a Senior Adviser. She has worked in the finance sector for over 30 years, starting her career in asset management and becoming an adviser in 2007.

Karen has an expert perspective on the fund management industry, knowledge of the main players in the UK and an understanding of the performance characteristics of different investment approaches under different economic climates. She is a regular speaker at conferences and commentator in the financial press.

Karen provides independent investment advice to the London Boroughs of Islington, Camden and Hounslow, and Warwickshire County Council pension funds. She is also Deputy Chair of the Strategic Investment Board for the Ministry of Justice and a Non-Executive Director of Resonance Ltd, a firm investing in social impact opportunities. Karen was the Head of AllenbridgeEpic from 2010 to 2013, and has ten years’ prior experience as a fund manager for County NatWest and BZW Investment Management.
