Maarten Biermans

Maarten Biermans is a founding partner of PROWCapital which manages the Green Shipping Fund.

As former Global Head of Sustainable Finance at Rabobank he has been involved in many sustainable finance transactions in both the loan and bond markets. Before his tenure at Rabobank he worked as a consultant with (now) MJ Hudson focussing on ESG integration in private equity. He holds dual Master degrees in Economics and Philosophy and a PhD in Economics from the UvA. He was a visiting scholar at Stanford University and sits on various non-commercial boards, including the Global Compact Netherlands Network. Recently, Maarten became part of the Expert Advisors of MJ Hudson ESG & Sustainability.
