Meet Sebastiaan
Sebastiaan’s thinking

Sebastiaan is a Principal in the ESG & sustainability team. He has managed numerous ESG projects for private equity firms, asset managers and family offices.

Sebastiaan is leading MJ Hudson’s service offering related to the sustainable finance disclosure regulation (SFDR) and taxonomy regulation, and is closely involved in the development of MJ Hudson’s proprietary ESG platform.

In his career, Sebastiaan has developed excellent project management, leadership and client engagement skills.

    Recent client work

    • supported several clients with the implementation of SFDR, including setting up article 8 and 9 disclosures
    • conducted multiple in-depth EU taxonomy alignment assessments, at company and fund level
    • played a key role in the development of MJ Hudson’s ESG solutions
    • led multi-year ESG engagements for several of MJ Hudson’s core mid-market private equity clients

    Interests

    Sebastiaan enjoys football, chess and loves to watch movies in cinema. He has also participated in the charitable youth mentoring program Big Brothers Big Sisters since 2018.

     
    On 10 March 2021, the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (‘SFDR’) entered into force. Covering any fund manager marketing to or based in the EU, SFDR imposes a range of new sustainability disclosure obligations.
